Loretta Lynn fans will have to wait two extra weeks for her tour to kick off as she is postponing by two weeks to give her knee a little extra time to heal from her surgery. Loretta is an amazing women and certainly in my top female country music vocalist. Though I have never seen her live, her music and life inspire me.
She grew up with nothing and took the value of home and family on the road to search for and hopefully find her deserved success. She entered the music industry with sass in a time when women sang and looked pretty. She wrote songs that many networks weren’t quite ready to hear, though she pressed on and they as history has shown had to hear them whether they wanted to or not, whether they agreed to give them radio play or not is another story after all she had actually had one of my favorite songs, “the Pill” banned.

She has lived through pain and heartache. She has publicly bared her heart and soul as her love life openly struggled in the public’s eyes. She has openly faced and recovered from her own drug dependent demons that led to one too many mental breakdowns, yet managed to somehow come out on top.
She is considered the Queen of Country, a deserving title. Many have come before and after her, yet few have had her charisma and grace. From back road bars to the Grand Ole Opry Loretta has shined.
