Lee Brice and all band members have escaped unharmed from tour bus fire. In an unexplained occurrence, Lee Brice’s tour bus caught fire just as it was pulling into the parking lot of Toby Keith’s Love this Bar and Grill in Mesa Arizona. Brice though a little shaken was able to keep his scheduled performance.

Glen Campbell is finishing his final tour in Joliet at the Rialto Square Theater January 26th and 27th. He went on tour after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in June of last year. He is a country music icon that many will miss.

Country music’s original bad boy is none other than Johnny Cash. I hadn’t planned on writing about Johnny Cash until I had by mere chance come across this somewhat famous picture. The Picture of Johnny cash flipping the bird was taken at San Quentin Prison, there are several rumors of the cause of the picture but then that is another post entirely, for today I will just discuss the pieces that made Johnny Cash the Man in Black, the Bad Boy of country music.
This year has been an exciting year in country music. There have been new hall of fame inductees, deserving award winners and a change in country music, a blend between genres. We can only hope as we recount highlight moments of country that next year can top this year, so that music can continue to stand out.

The Country Music Association, CMA has been known year after year for its spectacular Christmas Show. Country Music stars are honored to be selected as part of the CMA Country Christmas. This year CMA has selective a deserving group of country musicians that were all very pleased to be part of the show that aired on ABC December 1, 2011.
